Schedule:

9:30 am: Morning Worship
11:25 am: Sunday School

A nursery is staffed by volunteers during Morning Worship and Sunday School.

We’re committed to God-centered worship at Hope, as the biblical purpose for public worship is to honor and glorify Him. Each part of our service is included to help us focus on God Himself, rather than primarily on how we feel. Our Hallelujah!
For the Lord God Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him Glory!
– Rev 19:6-7
response is not unimportant; we are to glorify God and enjoy Him forever (Westminster Shorter Catechism). Praising and honoring God, however, are primary, and how the service affects us must always be secondary.

Worship that honors the Lord and is centered on Him must follow the guidelines that He has given us. We try to include only those things which the Bible makes clear we should include and leave out anything not explicitly revealed in His word as appropriate for public worship. We want to remember at all times that He knows best how He should be worshipped as the holy, living God of all creation.

Our worship is structured as a dialogue; God speaks and we respond. The biblical pattern of worship demonstrates God speaking to us through Scripture and our responding, by His grace, in praise, confession and thanksgiving.

The Lord’s Supper is the joyful feast of the people of God. We don’t practice closed communion at Hope, but we invite to the Lord’s table all those who are baptized disciples of Jesus Christ, under the authority of Christ and his body the church. Eating and drinking with us is open to anyone who is in a living relationship with God and an active member of a congregation in which the Word of God, especially the gospel of Christ, is faithfully confessed, taught and believed. In partaking, you acknowledge that you are a sinner, without hope except in the sovereign mercy of God and that you are trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
