Fellowship Potluck – We will hold our next potluck Fellowship Meal following Sunday School next Sunday, October 11 th. Please bring your favorite soup and a salad or dessert, enough for your family, plus some extra for students, singles & visitors. Come enjoy the food and fellowship.

Pictorial Directory – Hope will begin taking pictures for a pictorial directory during the fellowship time on Sunday, January 24, 31, and February 7. Thereafter, pictures will be taken on the first Sunday of each month. Blane Thompson has agreed to serve as photographer. We hope to have a first draft available by mid-February. Long-sleeves, solid colors or colors that match generally work best for these pictures. Please bring your smiles and agree to sit for a family picture!
New Nursery Schedule – The nursery volunteer schedule for March through May is also available on the back table. Thank you to those who serve our covenant children in the nursery!

Church Schedule – The Session is discussing scheduling potlucks on the second Sunday of each month (continuing current pattern) and celebrating the Lord’s Supper on the fourth Sunday of each month. The Session welcomes feedback on this proposed schedule.
Photo Board – The Hospitality and Service Ministry Team is looking for someone who would be willing to “own” the photo bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall. If you have any interest in this project, please talk to Sarah Shackelford for more details.
Weather Cancellation – In the event of a weather-related cancellation of the worship service, the elders will contact the following mass media outlets before 8:30 am the morning of the service.

Regular congregational potlucks are held the second Sunday of the month – Families: please bring a main dish and a side dish/salad or dessert; bring enough for your family plus enough for singles and visitors.
Frog Hollow Parking – Our neighbor, Frog Hollow, has graciously allowed us to use its parking lot on Sundays.
Prayer Requests – If you want to share a request during the service, but do not want it shared via email, please feel free to indicate so. Or, mention this privately to any member of the Session. Prayer requests are customarily sent to all current members and friends of Hope who have provided an email address.
Hope Email List – Hope sends out weekly emails including praises and prayer requests from the previous Sunday and important announcements to the congregation. If you are not receiving these emails and would to, please send your email address to Kendra Burkum at Office @Hope- Presbyterian. org.
Hope Library – Everyone is encouraged to use the resources available in our library upstairs. Please sign out any borrowed books and put returned books on the “Book Return” shelf. Please check your shelves at home and remember to return or replace borrowed books. Thanks!
Sermon Recordings are available on our web site. A link to the Sermon download page has been placed on the Links and Resources page. Recordings of the sermons are also recorded on CDs and made available in the church library.
Men’s group will resume in the fall.
Cedar Rapids Bible Study meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm at the home of Tod Santel, in Robins. The group is studying a book on fasting by John Piper.
Women’s Evening Bible Study meets every other Wednesday at the home of Paula Rediger. Consider joining the group as they study “Gospel Christianity.”
Women’s Morning Bible Study meets at the home of Brenda Wichhart in North Liberty.
Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) exists to reach college students for Jesus Christ and equip them to serve. Pastor Josh Vahle now serves as campus minister for RUF at the University of Iowa.
The RUF Large Group Bible Study has been meeting Tuesdays at 8:00 pm at Iowa Memorial Union, Indiana room.
